You see in the upper-left corner of the left window being opened, where you can see the window frame behind? Actually you should be seeing the blue sky as part of the glass being opened to reveal darkness, instead of seeing through it.

I wonder if it was done intentionally as an "optically wrong" element or Magritte may just have missed that one. Who knows, it's Magritte! Haha!; June 3, 2009 at 11:24 AM
